Proelium Intelligence have created an API based driver engagement and incentivisation tool

Utilising telematics data and existing driving scores our Proelium Fleet product acts as the proverbial carrot to the traditional stick.  Drivers are set performance related targets which, when achieved, can be rewarded.  Targets can be set based on previous performance or other, employment related criteria (such as probationary periods). 


Through the ProControl portal, clients can create custom targets and assign rewards including badges, discounts, raffle entries, or branded merchandise. 


The flexibility of the Proelium Fleet system means the possibilities for targets and rewards are vast and varied – if the data exists, we can utilise it.

BEHAVIOURS: WHEN SOMEONE DOES SOMETHING

Behaviours are the building blocks of the Proelium Fleet platform, every logged driving action is assessed to determine whether it contributes toward a target. If it qualifies, it can trigger a reward, survey, or challenge.

Behaviours are used to:

  • Define and track progress toward targets
  • Trigger personalised surveys and engagement
  • Segment users based on real-world driving data



This approach turns everyday telematics data into meaningful driver engagement.


TARGETS: Encourage drivers to behave the way you want them to

Each type of target has a timeframe within which the target must be completed, alongside an optional reward. Our self-service, back-office system (ProControl) allows your clients to:

SEGMENTATION: USER DIFFERENTIATION

Segmentation allows you to tailor challenges, rewards, and messaging to different groups of drivers, adding a layer of personalisation that increases relevance and impact. There are two core approaches:



PROGRESSIVE SEGMENTATION (Segmentation by behaviour)

DEFINED SEGMENTATION (Segmentation by definition)

Create static segments based on predefined characteristics


Via ProControl, you assign a segment code and name.
These are shared with us via API so you can target content and challenges to the right drivers.


Whether based on data or definition, segmentation helps deliver the right message to the right people, at the right time.


SURVEYS: FIND OUT WHAT THey REALLY THINK

Surveys offer a simple, unobtrusive way to engage drivers and understand how they’re feeling, from day-to-day experience to feedback on specific targets or challenges.


How it works:

  • Surveys are triggered by driver behaviour — ensuring relevance and timing
  • Managers can gather insights without disrupting workflows
  • Surveys support benchmarking, morale tracking, and continuous improvement

Optional rewards:

  • Offer incentives for completing individual or multiple surveys
  • Or use surveys as a standalone tool to make drivers feel heard and appreciated


Even without rewards, the act of asking can boost engagement and show drivers their input matters.



REWARDS: AN ADDITIONAL INCENTIVE

A reward is the benefit your clients’ driver will receive in return for exhibiting the behaviours they’ve been targeted to exhibit.  The achievement of each target or completion of a survey can prompt the awarding of one of the following types of rewards:

  • Virtual badge
  • In-house discounts

  • Eco-rewards
  • Merchandise


Each reward type can be tailored with its own expiry date, maximum redemption numbers and terms & conditions.


Discount codes can be single or multi use and all rewards can be edited during any stage of the lifecycle.
